Spanish youth tells stories about unemployment

Led by renowned photojournalist Markel Redondo, eight young, talented Spanish photographers gathered in Madrid in January 2016 to produce stories about unemployment. Storycamp is a series of masterclasses in visual storytelling for youth. The purpose is to use photography to encourage youth to become more concerned about others. Participants at Storycamp produce short documentaries consisting of video, still photography and sound recordings. In 2016 we invite youth in Madrid, Ipswich and Fredrikstad to Storycamps in their hometowns. The participants of the camps will be invited to the Norwegian documentary photofestival DOK16 in Fredrikstad 30. May – 3. June 2016 to showcase their work. Storycamp Madrid is supported by the Fritt Ord Foundation and hosted in cooperation with with the internationally acclaimed picture agency Panos Pictures.
